This is a little gem in Middletown CT that you will love! Great food, all homemade recipes. There are so many tasty treats my eyes 👀 were all over the place! Sal gave me samples to try and everything was spectacular! This place does whole trays of food for gatherings or just a little snack if you are hungry! It’s a little bit of Italy right here in CT. Go check this place out! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Avella’s is a hidden gem on Williams street. The food we ordered was spectacular, fresh, and so flavorful. The staff was so very nice and helpful. Sal, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure our order came out perfectly, hand piped FRESH cannoli in store, and was so warm and hospitable. It’s a great spot to grab some deli meat, some takeout, or some good authentic food if you attend Wesleyan. We will definitely be back!

Great Italian Deli and Pizza. Got the Salvatore Jiuliano pizza, excellent and traveled well... still hot and crispy when we got home. Bought many great items out of the case. We bought marinated grilled chicken, two different salads, meatballs, stuffed banana peppers and garlic knots. Best Prosciutto di Parma we ever had! Everything was fresh, the place is very clean, and the owner was very nice and helpful! Will definitely be back!
